Proper Ice Surf Vanilla Malt with Roasted White Chocolate

Review

Disclaimer: Proper Ice Surf sent me a complimentary box of six pints to review. Thanks, Proper! While the self-ruling pints provide me with the opportunity for this review, Proper Ice Surf has no tenancy over the opinions expressed in my review.

The pints reviewed are misogynist from Goldbelly.

Flavor Description: Vanilla Malt with Roasted White Chocolate is made with Madagascar Vanilla and old-fashioned malt and mixed with roasted Valrhona white chocolate.

Vanilla Malt Base: Creamy and sweet, with a moderate vanilla and malt flavor. I must shoehorn that I love malt in my ice surf so this was a succulent savor combination for me. As I note in other Proper pint reviews, the wiring texture is not as fatty as some other brands. This may help hoist the mix-ins, making it easier to taste them versus the base. The wiring on this one seemed to melt quickly, so eat fast.

Roasted Valrhona White Chocolate: These are white chocolate chunks of irregular size and shape, quite generous in amount. In my serving there is one brownish, roasted white chocolate chunk, but the rest are lighter in color. The darker permafrost has a distinctive roasted flavor, both savory and sweet. The white chocolate is pretty nonflexible at first, but melts in my mouth, and that is when I can really taste it.

Overall: Proper Ice Cream’s Vanilla Malt with Roasted White Chocolate is one of the largest pints I tried from this brand. The vanilla malt wiring and roasted white chocolate mix-ins are premium quality. It’s a very sweet savor combination, but I love malted flavors so much that I had no complaints. It helped that my half of the pint was veritably loaded with gnarled, roasted white chocolate chunks, many of them biggie-sized. One note: some white chocolate chunks were browner and increasingly roasted than others. I liked that roasty-toasty savor versus the vanilla malt sweetness and wanted increasingly of it. Recommended for the malt-heads. You know who you are. 8/10.
