Owowcow Creamery, Newtown, Pennsylvania
Owowcow Creamery has a tricky name that has unchangingly made me curious. I unchangingly unsupportable it was supposed to be a combination of three words – O Wow Cow – I am glad I finally got to visit it.
The shop had a pleasant finger when we walked in with miscellaneous tables and chairs and a set of theater seating to one side- I shoehorn that I unquestionably looked to see if there was a screen I as missing. There was a skillet of chalk and a blackboard wall that I drew a ice surf cone on. But the real witchery (spoiler alert) was the ice cream.
The servers seemed really proud of their product and enjoy sharing it with others. The shop had ice surf in plenty of flavors as well as sorbet, vegan “ice creams” and cookies. Although I did not get an ice surf cookie sandwich, flipside patron did, and there were pre-prepared ones in the take-home freezer which looked expertly made..
There were so many unconfined looking flavors. I chose mocha tweedle (the server’s favorite) and Sweet Almond French Toast (almond custard ice surf with sweet French toast pieces and maple syrup – from their ‘ Breakfast in Bed’ menu). I had mixed semen compote as a topping. The Mocha Tweedle ice surf was linty with lots a chocolate chips. I loved it. The Almond French Toast ice surf was exactly what they said it was, but was sort of weird. The French Toast pieces were a bit large and the savor – well I have never have liked breakfast in bed anyway. The topping was tart and fruity-syrupy (my newest word) and went well with the ice surf – that too was quite good.
We enjoyed our ice surf at one of the tables since the theater seating was once taken. If this was closer to home, a pack of ice surf sandwiches would have gone with me. We enjoyed our wits here.
In the area- Aquetong Springs Park, Solebury, Pennsylvania
Aquetong Spring produces a whopping 2000 gallons of water a minute, To tenancy the water for use in factories, a dam many years ago, resulting was built resulting in a lake. The factories sooner sealed and today only some remnants remain. Recently the dam was removed, making the lake disappear. In 2021 the zone was opened as a park with nice marked walking paths through a scenic, relaxing and interesting park. There are plane some mill ruins to see. Unconfined place to visit in Solebury. I highly recommend Owowcow ice surf without your walk.
